Description
K9 Advantix is a topical parasiticide used in the treatment and prevention of fleas; ticks including deer ticks (the major carrier of Lyme disease), American dog ticks, Brown dog ticks and lone star ticks; the control of lice and the killing and repelling of mosquitoes in dogs and puppies. One application lasts a month.

Directions
Place the applicator tip through the animals hair to the skin level. For dogs up to 20lb, apply to skin on back between the shoulder blades. For dogs over 20lb apply in divided doses between the shoulder blades on the back between the hips and one point in between. Spot on applicators are portioned based on the pet’s weight: small dogs & puppies 1 to 10 lb - 1 tube from dark green pack; dogs 11-20lb - 1 tube from teal pack ; dogs 21-55 lb -1 tube from red pack; dogs over 55lb -1 tube from blue pack. K9 Advantix is safe for use on pregnant and lactating bitches. DO NOT USE ON CATS.

Cautions
Do not use on puppies under 7 weeks of age. Do not apply K9 Advantix to cats or animals other than dogs. Do not permit cats to actively groom or have close physical contact with a recently treated dog. Do not get this product in the pet’s eyes or mouth. Use with caution in sick and debilitated animals. Safe to use on puppies from 7 weeks of age. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with skin. Call poison control center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water.

K9 Advantix for dogs is a liquid treatment offering full protection against ticks, fleas, lice, mosquitoes and biting insects.
K9 Advantix kills external parasites with its proven ingredients, imidacloprid and permethrin, rapidly debilitating, paralyzing and killing pesky insects on your dog quickly and efficiently.
Its combination of to proven ingredients, permethrin and imidacloprid work in synergy to provide full and effective treatment against parasites, attacking their nervous cells to paralyze and kill them in their tracks.
Each dose will treat a dog for a whole month.


Safety

Always ensure that you read the instructions fully before administering K9 Advantix to ensure you give the correct dosage to your pet dog.
K9 Advantix is extremely poisonous to felines, so do not use it on cats as it could be fatal. Keep all cats away from any treated dogs until the application site is completely dry, and do not let cats groom a dog that has been treated with K9 Advantix.
K9 Advantix should not be used on any puppies that are younger than 7 weeks old. Should puppies below this age need treatment then it is safe to use Advantage for dogs.
Ensure that the contents of K9 Advantix do not come into contact with your dog's eyes or mouth.
Severe reactions to K9 Advantix are rare, but minor reactions and side effects may occur, including transient skin sensitivity and lethargy. Other self-resolving side effects may include vomiting, diarrhoea, agitation, twitching or unsteady movement, although these are normal and should disappear quickly.
Keep K9 Advantix away from certain materials such as leather, plastics, fabrics or other finished surfaces as this product may cause staining.

Ingredients

K9 Advantix' active ingredients are 100 g/L Imidacloprid, 500 g/L Permethrin. The recommended minimum dosage for dogs is 10mg per kg of body weight imidacloprid, and 50mg per kg bodyweight for permethrin.
